Basically, texas hold 'um is the same as poker except you have more chance to make a good hand since there are more cards in play. Basically you take the best 5 cards and make your hand…..

Don't be afraid to bet big before the flop comes if you got a good hand. It will thin out the players who don't have good cards and when the flop hits, you'll have a good idea of what the other people are holding as well as building a good sized pot for you to win.
As you get better, you may try betting big before the flop with low value cards.
